Bloganuary – What was your dream job as a child?

As a child, I wanted to be a civil servant because, in Indonesia, civil servants are well-known for having a secure job with a steady paycheck even after retirement. Many of my family members, including my mother, are civil servants, which is why I thought it was an incredible job. However, as I grew older, my aspirations changed, and I was no longer interested in becoming a civil servant. My current dream is to become a psychologist and a part-time writer. I want to help people heal and see the world in a positive way. I believe that I am saving their lives by helping people with their issues. I also want to be a good person in life. As a part-time writer, it would be lovely if sharing my stories could help people somehow.

  2. Beautiful transition in your story — it seems to me that your first “job” as a civil servant was helping/serving people and your current direction is helping/serving people – so your heart has the same desire it had to begin with, just more clearly defined as how to do it as you grew. Great message!
